The problem with grading albums/reviews at the top of the page, is that very often it doesn't reflect what the writer is saying, nor do the grades lend themselves well to comparisons with other albums receiving the same score. This is a good example of that. 'B'? Are you serious? I'd say your 4th paragraph undermines the implication that this is an excellent album with moments of genuine flair. After listening to it a few times before realising that it was direct reaction to this that was making me nauseous all week, I can't even call it dance music, let alone disco. At the risk of going back over the same ground we covered with the SMD review I just want to say that not only is this album boring, but it sounds bad. It's tacky - Like a student nightclub for sure, one where WKD's are served with Aftershock chasers as standard and after they pump out the foam they bring out the hose for the white t-shirts. For the girls, of course. The boys are in golfing fancy dress.

Bottom line: this album has a handful of dance-floor filling bangers. Solid stuff.

Spot on at the end there: the reaction to this from electro and dance music bores exactly mirrors that of the rock crowd to FF. That's because they are both equally fun-hating. They can [..leave..] and go [..bring sexual pleasure onto..] themselves. Pop kids know where it's at.

btw I was listening to "Controversy" by Prince the other day, and that could have been on I Created Disco without raising an eyebrow.
