Ro Ro Roland? And besides, that was not nearly the "three minute splash" for Tangiers, it was the slightly less splashy version of their myriad of "pant-splitting, knee benders" on Hot New Spirits.

"They want to become difficult, worthy, and they wind up merely frustrating (beware the Strokes of New Year)." I agree with this, but I fear the Strokes are going in another direction for their try at being difficult -- becoming The Vines -- heavy sigh... I suppose at least Tangiers can claim that they just whip off an album every winter...they haven't spent 2 years thinking of how they will change.

certainly not a particularly innovative album, but the melodies are nice, the atmosphere is sufficiently weighty, and the guitars finely textured. Not really sure how this can be considered "difficult," but I'm enjoying it well enough
