Dear L. Michael: Your writing style, like your name, is pretentious and annoying. And this review doesn't even make sense; two sentences after calling the movie "consistently entertaining," you're whining about being bored by constant action sequences. Also, no one is impressed when you call an X-Men movie "Kantian."

In L.Michael's favour, he didn't come off as a whiny bitch - something which you have failed to avoid. Rubbish film.

I think we can all agree, at least, that this film was pretty much arse. And yet, it still managed to snag the fourth-highest weekend debut ever. That's an astounding amount of people, especially when you consider that a lot of them were probably taking their first trip outdoors without a helmet on and using real scissors.

I'm just glad Ratner allowed the line: "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" 'cause it pretty much sums up his intent for this flick. Still, I enjoyed some parts even though there was so much potential that was squandered.

Ben Foster could play Trent Reznor in a biopic.

totally agree with the boring action sequences comment. I loved the first two x-men films, but the worst moments were when wolverine or whoever fought some random bad guy for 15 minutes. Fist fights in particular are almost never interesting

Hey, wmdavidson, I already covered the fact that his name is pretentious in a different post, you unoriginal bastard.
