A walking sign system for the beau monde who then happened to climb into a black Ford with standard-bearers for alt.rock accessibility pasted on: Muse, Radiohead (Pablo-era logo), the Cure. Nothing personal necessarily, but I have to train my brain not to give the vintage kids more than their due. Was I just grateful, for my own ego’s sake, that there wasn’t a haughty Books/Dead C/Faust fan getting into that pick-up? In any event, I still ended up trying to find the most indie way to make a lane-change.
