I'm kind of torn on these guys.. they have some beautiful moments, but those are surrounded by a mesh of painful over-the-top quirkiness that makes them difficult to enjoy in any wholehearted way.. I did love Sierra Cassidy's Metallic Falcons project from last year though (which got wrongly slated on this site).

I don't know what QTF means, but I'm hoping it means "What the hell are you talking about - boring is not an adjective you can use to describe this band. Stupid I can let slide - Silly may be a better term, but certainly not boring." I agree with Ritchie about Metallic Falcons; I think that album has a great atmosphere and some interesting dynamics and sounds and was wrongly slated on this site and almost every other on and off-line publication. Looks like we're fighting with our backs to a corner Mr A.

Its´a great band that mixes the weird and the strange and the old things from childhood. The music is not even silly, it goes beyond... It is working with dream textures, and very dark things, too. So it´s necessary to give up conventional arrangements. And of course such a Music produces a lot of aggression. It´s not Maximo Park Territory! By the way, it has got some great reviews, too. It´s a dream factory!

p.S. Remember the old records from Nico, "Marble Index" - some of this ancient stuff has been re-released lately. People were similarly angry about Nico in the old days, calling it silly and bullshit and depressing and mad. Now they´re classics, at least MARBLE INDEX, simple as that! (And they are still frightening - GOOD!)
