Derek this is beautiful. For me it was Roots & Crowns that made me forfeit my nightgown sentimental regalia that I flower myself with in times of a crisis of confidence and patch up all those old blisters that love's dizrhythmia aids in my sick-inducing East to West coast wraparound campervan flurry. I was a hobbit for the better of 2006 half-dapper but half-chipped in ruins, practically paleolithic in my skeletal self-rebuilding. She had lured me into her voyeuristic prayer meetings and forced me to succumb to one of those "one last time" measures that found her bringing out all the foulest stops imaginable and my life turned stocking-wise out, ripped & laddered, & stolen from the line by the pervert of truth. This was Roots & Crowns meant to both of us, each lyric was like an icepick & crush; the burnmarks were tracks across the everlasting winter of her white white skin & she held me in until I gave in. She's reading this now prolly. She is a small thing, like love, a flea with teeth gnawing into the butt of a camel, itchy & sweaty & flick of the tail and buzzing around the hind quarters in the storm of indecisive railings. I really appreciate the depth to which you've borne these notions out in seasonal colours.

You should've left Hell Hath No Fury on. It fixes everything.

the icicles chime fingerings lost in the motions of our hands sit just as you are lost in the crime carry the choir age and peel after the quiet bleeds peel and age familiar peace in the pain pulling you wrong in soft belief and midnight finish a violent quiet freeze the carnival fighters are sharing a bed tonight bruised in the hay the circle around the brawl divides in frozen rain on spiders house after the quiet bleeds peel and age familiar peace in the pain raindrops tremble and wait to freeze on spiders house

This is REALLY REALLY great. Best thing I've read on Stylus (or any other online pub) all year.

Fuck man, that's one hell of an article. Had a hard time reading it at the end. Not because of content, but because I had difficulty seeing.

Seems that I am not the only one prone to adorable sentiments and heartfelt posting, eh Dis. Good stuff, ickiness intact and apparent. The interest waxes anew.
