I don't know, The Sisters could probably use a little cleaning up for current CD technology, or just in general.

Here, a post of a different slant. The only real fan of the Sisters of Mercy that I have actually been a friend of used to force me to listen to this at like 3 in the morning. I never really felt it at all, but it made some sense in relation to him. He liked to make "art" with guns and tits and skulls and aliens, he participated in Santarchy, he wore leather clothing, had bad tattoos and LOVED Ministry. Great guy, though. He also loved heroin. He died of an overdose, most likely having just listened to Sisters of Mercy before shooting up. No joke. For a great rundown of this band's history read "Great Pop Things."

Had one of those friends, too, only he died while his girlfriend nodded off next to him. When girlfriend woke up over 12 hours later, it was obviously way too late. Ever after she was known as "boyfriend killer"--the bitch even had the nerve to come to my boyfriend's birthday party last year, that's when we told her about her new knickname. He was more into Ministry, less Sisters of Mercy, but the point stands. (Best part was he'd been clean for months, then his first time back, came back for one day to see his "friends" and it happened then. Ain't that always the way? None of us invited to the funeral.)

Fuck, that's rough. My friend moved in with us to get away from his connections but then just kept going up to D.C. to "check out a band." Hard to blame the girlfriend, but whatever, anger is part of knowing anyone on that shit. Heroin is the deal-breaker, nothing good comes of it. Amazing thing to me was the way my friend fucking loved to listen to terrible music just because it was about or related to junk.

nothing a junkie loves more than ANYTHING that deals with existence, pursuit, or enjoyment of heroin! they even used to buy jane's addiction albums

Fuck, Dave Navarro may have always been a knacker, and right about now I really wish someone could just make him disappear, or at least put a fucking shirt on, but he was WAY more intersting on when he was on smack. Never liked Jane's too much, but he wasn't as loathesome at first. Amazing how much shittier he became. He should get some type of award for gross injustices perpetrated on the humnan race. Maybe you can earn your name, Terrorist.

Banks is OTM with this one. Navarro is a hell-LA casualty nowadays--not exactly much of a downward spiral, but... Skinny Puppy was the worst, I'm pretty sure-- I've heard from people who knew them. And the Thrill Kill Cult? I quote, "they would've stepped over their mothers' bloodied corpses, knife in hand, to pick a $10 bill out of her pocket, wipe the blood on their faces, then run and get one more bag of skag." Not a direct one, but my best from memory.

Some choice Skinny Puppy lyrics: "heavens trash fixation turning mass direction having a relationship without guilt mass direction off and away hazy circles round the eyes so long how long hate disease heavens thrash its a vacant scathing vapor ancient role play downward shores of pluto heavens thrash dusty crircles flys the by ways of the mind mass direction flower cauldren answer brew to mystify hate disease downward shores of pluto sure all right"

This is, without question, the first time I've ever seen a note in the comments section asking the writer to join someone's band. You gotta do this, Mal.
