Watch this space. ADVER TISING ADVER TI SING AD V ER TISING AD VERTI SING ADVERTIS ING SPACE The capitalist machine has eaten our beloved format. er..interesting review. I personally find that once I`ve listened to an album in a sick state, it makes me nauseous everytime thereafter.

It looks like Pitchfork. only worse.

this seems to be where everyone is talking 'bout the new layout, so here's a shot. i think it is tedious to look at, but that's obvious right from the start. Ads are OK and necessary at times, but ones that blink and flash and move make for such a cluttered space that it's near impossible to figure out what's going on at all. also, the "corporate" feel of the site now seems to match the more "corporate" leanings of the music reviews (i.e. all the crappy radio rap on the end of year lists and great reviews of mediokre country albums). just like pfork? no, they're more indie now.

fuck this shit, another site following pitchfork off my list for grossly excessive ads. its pretty brutal when ads prevent you from comfortably browsing sites, sorry i cant afford a 100000 gigaflop computer. atleast you dont have the american appearal ads that make it look like you are viewing pornography (see pfork). also fuck you, did i say that? ps. i dont give a fuck about your bandwidth costs. take the site down before going out like this. eat shit!

To The-Disexists: You may not know what kind of resources it takes to keep running a huge site like Stylus. Complaining about advertising on Stylus is the same as expecting to have your cake and eat it too. Be grateful they're not asking you for Paypal donations, which is an alternative. For those of us who grew up reading music magazines (gasp), advertising on the site isn't a terrible thing. I get sick of seeing Neighborhoodies and all the other jive shit, but at least much of the advertising is for interesting music and not repeats of annoying commercials you see everywhere else.

This Slowdive album is one of my faves of the '90s, and I really look forward to getting this reissue. Thought I'd add a comment about the article and not the site's new design.

Oh, piss off, all of you. The design is much cleaner and more easily navigable, and did any of you notice the .com in the URL? That stands for commerce, which stands for money, which Stylus is in the business of making. Stay off the internet if you don't want ads, or don't watch TV or read the newspaper or magazines or go out in public, you idiots. Nice review, by the way. I too was sick at Christmas...maybe this record would've done me good.

I can't wait until Pygmalion is reissued. That one's been out of print for many years.
