After completely blowing the review of Ghosts of the Great Highway (dad rock?), I'm pleased to see that Stylus got its act together and provided a much better review for this Kozelek release. Jegede hits all the nails on the head here. I am surprised no mention was given to Kozelek's previous cover album What's Next to the Moon, which was a remarkable acheivement. Put these two records next to one another, and it's apparent why the Tiny Cities just doesn't come across. The AC/DC covers are songs. The tracks from Tiny Cities feel like snippets or aural filler used in the latest Cameron Crowe flick.

This album went by waaaay too quickly. It's really odd to have Sun Kil Moon's songs so short; it feels wasted. Overall: C-
