| ||You are a greedy bastard, Peter Parrish.
Not enough depth on the bonus tracks? After a 4 disc b-sides collection? Plus they're trying to add a full bonus disc to each album they recorded, usually within 12 months of the last. I honestly don't think there's any more material to be had. If they got the remastering right, and include a full second disc for a single 12 month period that doesn't repeat their full b-sides collection, I don't know what more you could ask for. But I do commend you on focusing on the reissue elements of sound and bonuses. I want more reviews to do so. Echo's Ocean Rain was a disappointment in this department.|
| ||Haha .. guilty as charged. You're quite correct that between these reissues and the b-sides box, pretty much everything is going to be covered; and excellently so! They obviously can't add more 17 Seconds era stuff if it doesn't exist or was lost - but my comments were trying to reflect that, comparitively, this cd has to be seen as a bit weaker on bonus stuff. 'Faith', for example, has Carnage Visors to stick on, and much more home demo stuff (as well as lovely live tracks!) Not anyone's fault, that's just how it is.|
| ||I should add that the price is a little off-putting. $23 list is a lot higher than Pavement's Slanted for $15. But compared to REM, up to $25 and no bonus tracks, it could be worse. |
