You misspelled "diegetic." And I know it's uncool to talk about this flick, but what about the 8 Mile battles?

This is a great list... I'd have personally included the dance sequence from "Band of Outsiders," or the lady in the radiator from "Eraserhead," but you've covered off on both directors already with equally compelling clips.

I would have included the scene near the end of Boogie Nights as well. It took a superficial Rick Springfield song and made it so you understood what the main character was thinking. Great stuff.

I loved the dance scene in Godard's Band of Outsiders, m'self. The jailhouse hoedown from Rio Bravo?!?!?!?!?! Oh my! I always love the lists, keep 'em coming.

Wonderful list. Nice call on Sweet Smell Of Success and Night Of The Hunter. The Boogie Nights/"Jessie's Girl" scene is rather excellent, but what about the whole "Wise Up" scene in Magnolia? I cannot recall a more affecting moment involving music in a film.

La Marseillaise in "Casablanca" might be the best scene in film, so it probably belongs on the list.

What about Elisabeth Shue lip-synching to "Then He Kissed Me" in Adventures in Babysitting?!?!
