Double Yawn. DITC are hardly unkown and have been covered to death by better outlets than stylus. For godsake you even brought up the Elemental article so why oh why bother re-hashing the same tired ground and doing a half assed job at it? I'm glad you just discovered DITC and are enthusiastic about them, but please don't act like you just unearthed a new element that you would like to share with the rest of the world. Also PUN was not part of DITC in any official Manner. So do some fact checking thun.

 1. I didn't title the article, but regardless, I think it would be fair to call them underrated in the grand sweep of music discourse. 2. They haven't really been covered to death a la Wu Tang or something; Elemental is pretty much the only magazine I'm aware of that has done anything in-depth, although you can feel free to point me in the direction of other pieces. 3. I didn't 'just discover' D.I.T.C., nor did I intend to suggest that they were some undiscovered gem of hip-hop history; merely that, as stated in the article, they have been shifted to the sidelines of the discourse even though in my mind, they are the most central group to the story of NYC hip-hop. 4. I am aware that the lineup didn't 'officially' include Big Pun but he was a large enough figure (no pun intended)(again) on enough tracks that I felt he was worth covering. I'll agree with you about 'halfassed'; the rest of the ass comes tomorrow.

How does "Hip-Hop's Unknown Legends" NOT suggest "undiscovered gem of hip-hop history"?

They're definitely overlooked by the majority of today's internet hip-hop fans, but no, it isn't like they've never come up before.

Yo, just so everybody know, DITC never put an album out called "Worldwide" ok? that album was self-titled. Get the facts right. Big L R.I.P
