Good list, although arguably you could get away with "I Want You To Want Me" if you used Propaghandi's old version "I Vant You To Vant Me". It's pretty obviously tongue-in-cheek, but still risky.

I always think that "Lover, You Should Have Come Over" is WAY too obvious, but that hasn't stopped me slapping it on a tape more than once...

methinks giving away the fact that you DON'T like cheap trick is a greater offense than including "i want you to want me". c'mon...

You're all cowards. I kicked off my Ask a Girl Valentine's Day mix tape with Coil's "Anal Staircase." Then again, that was sort of formal exercise and I had nothing to lose. If it was a real relationship I would have waited at least until third mixtape before pulling that off.

lakespeed, i agree completely. hence the frequent replacement of "i want you to want me" with "surrender."

 Wait, Weezer birthed emo?

Promise Ring's "Make Me a Mix Tape" should be on this.

How 'bout Roxy Music, "Mother of Pearl"? Narcissism never sounded so sexy.
